I have a hunger to hear God’s word. I love listening to those that I feel speak the Word in a way that truly teaches and in a way that sounds like God talking. Don’t take that literally, but I believe the ones I list below are truly anointed.
Scott Crenshaw; New River Fellowship Scott introduced me to my incredible wife, Mandie. So, he goes at the top. But, he’s also an incredible teacher.
Chip Ingram; Living on the Edge Chip’s messages are short, but packed with some great teaching.
Andy Stanley; North Point and his Leadership podcast. I’m not sure how to give a best description here, but Andy not only teaches the Word, but his leadership teaching is full of very practical, very innovative thought. He is SO worth the listen!
Rick Warren; Saddleback Most people have heard his name, because he wrote the best seller The Purpose Driven Life. But, his practical, common sense approach to teaching is what caught my ear.
Catalyst Leadership Podcast Catalyst has a ton of very impressive guests on their podcast. Chances are, you are going to get some insight that you wish you had earlier in life!
Mark Driscoll; Mars Hill His messages are passionate to say the least. He’s not afraid to call out the elephant that is in the room either.
Craig Groeschel; LifeChurch He cracks me up with his honesty at times. His messages are dead on, and sometimes he reminds me of, well, me. Not that I can teach like him, we just have very similar humor.
Steven Furtick; Elevation Church Steven is one of the younger leaders of our generation, but he definitely has wisdom beyond his years. Passionate, direct, and hilarious. He’s awesome.
Dave Ramesy’s EntreLeadership Hosted by Chris LoCurto, this is packed full of great leadership advice, thought, and practicality.
I truly believe that my hunger for the word has been fed by these men. If you want to go deeper, and you want to grow, and you really want to get closer to Jesus, I urge you to listen to these at some point. If you wnnt to find out how to be a better man, a better leader, a better husband or dad, listen.
All of these are or offer podcasts, which is how I listen. I plug in my iPhone every morning, and listen to them on the way to work, or while I work outside, or whenever I can.
If you’re hungry, get fed.
